Personal Injury Transcript
TIMOTHY J. AIKEN: Within the personal injury field we are known throughout the Midwest for gas explosion work, automobile accidents, product liability, medical malpractice; so that sounds like a broad spectrum but we get so many cases from lawyers and doctors and accountants that we usually practice in a fairly broad range of cases because essentially a personal injury case is all about a person being injured and needing compensation.
PAUL J. SCOPTUR: When people get hurt they need a lot of help and they don't know where to turn, and as a lawyer I can help those types of people and help them get their lives back in order as best as they can.
TIMOTHY J. AIKEN: We're a firm that does not negotiate at length personal injury cases. We believe in filing the cases so that we get the cases moving and get compensation for the injured party sooner rather than later. We are extremely proud of the preparation we put on our cases. Our knowledge of the law; we do more appellate work than any personal injury firm in the state so we have to know the law. We get our cases from judges and lawyers and doctors because people respect our knowledge of the law, so our culture is one of being casual at the office, but being intense in preparation and knowledge. We're known in the legal profession as the lawyer's lawyer, so if we're the lawyer's lawyer I guess we're good enough we should be the people's lawyer too.
