Your Rights Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act
The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act says that auto manufacturers and dealers must honor the terms of their warranties. It requires defects and malfunctions be repaired within a reasonable time. If they are not repaired within a reasonable time, then the Magnuson-Moss Act is violated, and the consumer has a right to file a claim.
In addition, Mag-Moss forces manufacturers to pay attorneys' fees if the consumer brings a claim against them and prevails.
