Tim Aiken was again selected for inclusion by his peers in "The Best Lawyers In America, 2008-2009". Only a select few lawyers are recognized by their peers for inclusion in this group. Tim has been selected for inclusion for a number of years running. Tim was also selected again as one of Wisconsin's "SuperLawyers" by a survey conducted by Law & Politics. Every lawyer in Wisconsin was sent a ballot, nominating the best lawyers they have actually seen in practice. The nominees were then evaluated by a Blue Ribbon panel, then selected through a final screening process.

He tried a medical malpractice case in Hudson in May and obtained a $4,200,000 verdict for his client on a case where the insurance company made no offer before trial. This is an outstanding verdict! Thanks also to Mike Wagner, a lawyer from Menomonee Wisconsin, for his help as co-counsel on the case.

Paul Scoptur has again been selected as a Wisconsin SuperLawyer and one of the Best Lawyers In America for 2008-2009. Paul has been busy teaching other lawyers how to help their clients. In the last year, he has taught at the following legal education programs:

Paul has also been busy helping his clients. He recently settled a medical malpractice case in West Bend for $650,000 and obtained a $1,250,000 settlement in a legal malpractice case in Green Bay.

Paul has also settled several cases involving nursing home neglect for confidential amounts. He has a special interest in helping the families of the elderly who are victims of neglect and abuse in nursing homes

Jim Gallanis, head of the Appellate Division, continues his success with Appellate decisions.

In Leittinger v. Van Buren Management, Tim and Jim obtained a reversal of a trial court decision that denied Joe Leittinger the recovery of his full medical expenses. In that case, the trial court held that he could recover only the amount of medical bills actually paid, instead of the actual amount of the bills. The Appellate Court reversed the trial judge and upheld the long existing "collateral source" law in Wisconsin.
